Weight And Your Health
Weight and Your Health
Being overweight is harmful for your body physically and emotionally. At Total Woman Care we provide you with access to individualized guidance on exercise, eating habits, and overall lifestyle changes. Being overweight puts you at risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, and cancer. For many women, however, the emotional turmoil of being overweight is most difficult.

To determine if you are overweight you simply need to calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index). Your BMI is calculated by multiplying your weight in pounds by 703, then dividing it by height in inches, squared. A BMI of 25 – 29 is considered overweight. A BMI greater than 30 is considered obese. Please let our staff know if you would like assistance in calculating your BMI during your next annual exam.

Our goal is to work with you to make positive lifestyle changes the will help you look and feel your best.
